This Gutter Cleaning Risk Assessment/JSA (Job Safety Analysis) is pre-filled and covers clearing gutters by hand and with a blower vac, working from ladders and roofs. It sets out 13 activities, from analysing the job to post-work handover and emergency response, with the hazards, control measures and risk ratings before and after controls for each. It's written by WHS specialists, aligned to Australian WHS legislation, and fully editable in Microsoft Word.

Common questions
Do I need a SWMS or a risk assessment for gutter cleaning?
Only when the job is high risk construction work, for example cleaning gutters where someone could fall more than 2 metres, working near energised power lines, or disturbing asbestos cement gutters. Otherwise a SWMS isn't mandatory, but you still have to manage the fall risk, and a risk assessment or JSA is a practical way to record how. Clients, property managers and prequalification portals often ask for one. If the job is high risk construction work, use our Gutter Cleaning SWMS instead.
Does it cover fragile roofs?
Yes. It covers falls through fibre cement sheeting, polycarbonate, skylights, patio or carport roofing and corroded sheets, plus the risk of disturbing asbestos cement roofing or gutters.
Can I change it?
Yes. It's a Microsoft Word file, so you can add, remove or change any hazard, control or rating, and add your own logo and details.
Does it suit my state?
Yes. It's written to the model WHS laws and suits all states and territories, including Victoria under the OHS Act and Regulations.
What if it doesn't suit my work?
You're covered by our 30-day money-back guarantee if it isn't fit for purpose.
