This Air Conditioning Repairs Risk Assessment/JSA (Job Safety Analysis) is pre-filled and covers servicing and repairing air conditioning systems, including working at height, reclaiming and recharging refrigerant, and cleaning dust and mould. It sets out 25 activities, from site induction and ladder or EWP set-up to completing the work and incident response, with the hazards, control measures and risk ratings before and after controls for each. It's written by WHS specialists, aligned to Australian WHS legislation, and fully editable in Microsoft Word.

Common questions
Do I need a SWMS or a risk assessment for air conditioning repairs?
A SWMS is legally required when the job is high risk construction work, for example repairs with a risk of a fall of more than 2 metres, work on refrigerant lines, or work near energised electrical services. Outside those situations a SWMS isn't mandatory, but you still have to manage the risks, and a risk assessment or JSA is a practical way to record how. Building managers, head contractors and prequalification portals often ask for one. If the job is high risk construction work, use our Air Conditioning Repairs SWMS instead.
Does it cover mould and dust in units?
Yes. It covers exposure to dust, mould spores, bacteria and allergens during cleaning or servicing, respiratory irritation, and contamination of the surrounding work area. The equipment list includes an H class vacuum for dust and mould cleaning.
Can I change it?
Yes. It's a Microsoft Word file, so you can add, remove or change any hazard, control or rating, and add your own logo and details.
Does it suit my state?
Yes. It's written to the model WHS laws and suits all states and territories, including Victoria under the OHS Act and Regulations.
What if it doesn't suit my work?
You're covered by our 30-day money-back guarantee if it isn't fit for purpose.
