Common questions
Do I need a SWMS for high pressure cleaning?
Only when the job is high risk construction work, for example cleaning where someone could fall more than 2 metres, or on or next to a road in use. Washing down vehicles, driveways or equipment usually isn't, so a SWMS isn't mandatory, but you still have to manage risks like electric shock and high pressure water injuries, and a SWMS is a sound way to record how. Clients and prequalification portals often ask for one.
Does it cover working alone?
Yes. It covers working alone or outside normal hours, including injury or a medical emergency with nobody there to raise the alarm, aggression from an occupant, patron or intruder, and areas with no phone coverage.
