This Wet Tile Saw Setup & Cutting SOP (Safe Operating Procedure) gives tilers a clear method for setting up and using a benchtop wet tile saw with a diamond blade to cut ceramic, porcelain, stone and glass tile. It covers RCD protection, blade and guard checks, water flow, squaring the fence, feeding tiles, push sticks, handling a binding blade and isolating the saw before blade changes or draining. It's written by WHS specialists, aligned to Australian WHS legislation, and fully editable in Microsoft Word.

Common questions
Does it cover brick saws or angle grinders?
No. Brick, block and paver cutting with a brick saw has its own SOP, and dry cutting with an angle grinder or manual tile cutter is not covered.
Does it cover fixed workshop saws?
Yes. It applies to portable benchtop units and fixed shop-mounted units, including isolation and tag out for fixed saws.
Can I change it?
Yes. It's a Microsoft Word file, so you can add, remove or change any step, check or hazard, and add your own logo and details.
Does it suit my state?
Yes. It's written to the model WHS laws and suits all states and territories, including Victoria under the OHS Act and Regulations.
What if it doesn't suit my work?
You're covered by our 30-day money-back guarantee if it isn't fit for purpose.
