Common questions
Does it cover goods or passenger hoists?
No. Hoists that need a high risk work licence to operate are covered by a separate procedure. This SOP is for small inclined conveyor-type brick and material elevators.
Can the elevator be used to lift people or tools?
No. The SOP says not to use it to lift people, tools or any load it isn't designed for.
Does it cover cutting bricks?
No. Cutting and preparing bricks or blocks is covered by the brick saw procedure, and general manual handling by the Material Handling, Stacking and Storage procedure.
Can I change it?
Yes. It's a Microsoft Word file, so you can add, remove or change any step, check or hazard, and add your own logo and details.
Does it suit my state?
Yes. It's written to the model WHS laws and suits all states and territories, including Victoria under the OHS Act and Regulations.
What if it doesn't suit my work?
You're covered by our 30-day money-back guarantee if it isn't fit for purpose.
