This Projector & Display Mounting SOP (Safe Operating Procedure) gives installers a clear method for mounting projectors, screens, TVs and displays and their brackets on walls, ceilings and other structures. It covers ladder and EWP set-up, finding structural fixing points, detecting hidden services before drilling, using fixings rated for the combined weight, isolating power at the switchboard, connecting low-voltage cabling, and aligning and testing the unit. It's written by WHS specialists, aligned to Australian WHS legislation, and fully editable in Microsoft Word.

Common questions
Does it cover mains electrical work?
No. Mains wiring, rewiring and work on fixed wiring is licensed electrical work and must only be done by a licensed electrician. The SOP covers connecting low-voltage power, data and signal cabling.
Does it cover scissor lifts or boom lifts?
No. Where powered mobile plant is used to reach the mounting point, the applicable plant-specific SOP applies.
Does it cover choosing fixings?
Yes. Brackets are secured into structural support with fixings rated for the combined weight of the bracket and the equipment.
Can I change it?
Yes. It's a Microsoft Word file, so you can add, remove or change any step, check or hazard, and add your own logo and details.
Does it suit my state?
Yes. It's written to the model WHS laws and suits all states and territories, including Victoria under the OHS Act and Regulations.
What if it doesn't suit my work?
You're covered by our 30-day money-back guarantee if it isn't fit for purpose.
