Common questions
Does it cover repairing or replacing fire doors?
No. Repairing, rehanging or replacing a fire door is remedial work outside a routine inspection. Detector testing, extinguisher servicing and fire system isolation are also covered by separate SOPs.
What happens if a door fails inspection?
The door is taken out of service, tagged clearly, and site management or the responsible person is told straight away so interim arrangements can be made.
Does it include record keeping?
Yes. Technicians record each item against the inspection checklist and complete the AS 1851 service record and site fire safety logbook entry for every door inspected.
Can I change it?
Yes. It's a Microsoft Word file, so you can add, remove or change any step, check or hazard, and add your own logo and details.
Does it suit my state?
Yes. It's written to the model WHS laws and suits all states and territories, including Victoria under the OHS Act and Regulations.
What if it doesn't suit my work?
You're covered by our 30-day money-back guarantee if it isn't fit for purpose.
