Backhoe details, site and last service date
A weekly operator log for Monday to Sunday
Before starting checks: tyres, loader bucket and coupler, backhoe bucket and quick hitch, boom and dipper, stabilisers, hydraulics, fluids, cab, ROPS and FOPS, and transport locks
After starting checks: gauges and warning lights, horn and reversing alarm, lights, drive, steering and brakes, loader functions, stabilisers, backhoe functions and swing, and a quick hitch test
A faults and tag-out log so a faulty backhoe is taken out of use until it is repaired
A one-page instruction sheet with step-by-step guidance and tips

At the start of every shift, before the backhoe is used
When a new operator takes over the machine
After a fault has been repaired
