A daily pre-start check for petrol and battery chainsaws, covering the chain, chain brake, chain catcher and the operator's PPE.

A weekly operator log for Monday to Sunday
Before starting checks: chain, guide bar, chain brake and front hand guard, chain catcher, rear hand guard, throttle trigger and lockout, stop switch, anti-vibration mounts, muffler and spark arrestor, and operator PPE
After starting checks: idle, chain brake test, chain oiler, throttle response and running condition
A faults and tag-out log so a faulty machine is taken out of use until it is repaired
A one-page instruction sheet with step-by-step guidance and tips
